Kristin Reinsberg, MS, MFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) who has been working with young children and their families for over 15 years. She began her work with young children as an infant-toddler and preschool teacher. She went to Mills College in Oakland, CA, to study education and psychology and received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Masters in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University, where she studied infant mental health as an intern at UCSF’s Infant-Parent Program. Since leaving her graduate program, Ms. Reinsberg has continued to work in the field of infant/early childhood mental health working with Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JFCS) as a mental health consultant to childcare programs and, since 2001, as the Director of JFCS’ Early Childhood Mental Health Project in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. The Peninsula ECMH Project provides mental health consultation to over 45 childcare programs throughout the Peninsula, supporting childcare providers in meeting the social-emotional needs of the children in their classrooms. Ms. Reinsberg also has a private practice in San Francisco where she works with young children and families.
