Our volunteers are essential partners who help make a real difference in our programs and services.
By sharing your time, talents, and energy, you make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve and in our community. Whether it’s interacting directly with our students with special needs or working behind the scenes, you take part in a rich, rewarding — and fun — experience that benefits adults, youth, and children with learning differences and developmental disabilities.
Pre-volunteer requirements include an ability to clear a criminal background check and obtain required medical clearances.
Physical activity requirements depend on your volunteer assignment, but typically include an ability to physically respond to people with special needs, an ability to lift/support at least 40 lbs as needed, an ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently.
