Ian Douglas Huck is a painter whose passion for painting portraits was born out of tragedy. During a long recovery and hours spent in busy waiting rooms, Ian found inspiration from people watching. Each painting includes a fictional biography of his anonymous subject. Ian, a resident of New Mexico, says “I love storytelling. My art, if I do it well, provides the ability to be a storyteller without words. My goal is to draw what I love and be able to make a living doing that.” Ian recently self-published a collection of paintings and stories from his “People Watching” series, available for purchase on his website, iandouglashuck.com.
