Amy Keeney
Intake and Person Centered Planning Manager
Amy brings over 22 years of experience working in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Amy grew up in Half Moon Bay, California and went to college in Santa Barbara, where she played college basketball at Santa Barbara City College and coached a varsity girls’ basketball team. Amy later transferred to the University of California at Santa Barbara where she graduated with a degree in Sociology. After college, Amy pursued her dream of working with children.
For fifteen years, Amy worked in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder as a behavior analyst, providing ABA therapy to individuals with ASD and support to their families.
In 2015, Amy transitioned to working full time for San Jose Unified School District as behavior support staff in autism specific classrooms at elementary and junior high schools.
In 2016, Amy became a Certified Autism Specialist. Amy has a passion for building trust, identifying strengths in all people, implementing science-driven strategies, and positively supporting the social and emotional needs of children, young adults, and their families. In addition, Amy prides herself on having a healthy, active lifestyle and fostering positive social interactions. Amy loves watching and playing sports. When Amy isn’t working, you can find her at a San Francisco Giants, 49er or Warriors game, the beach or spending quality time with her friends and family.
