Board of Directors
Vice-president, AbilityPath Auxiliary
Anne Carey has held leadership positions in the AbilityPath Auxiliary, including as Volunteer Coordinator during the pandemic, the first year the position was created. Before COVID Anne volunteered at Learning Links Burlingame and at the Learning and Employment Campus. She is an active member of the Auxiliary’s Advocacy Committee and in 2021 she will serve as Vice President. She holds a BS in Animal Science, an MS in Physiology and her professional experience includes 35 years as a research scientist. Anne feels it is important to give back to the community, and having grown up in Burlingame she was familiar with the work of Poplar ReCare (now AbilityPath) so it was a natural choice for her after retirement. Anne and her husband reside in Burlingame and have two daughters. Anne also enjoys spending time with her dogs, who often appear with her on Zoom.
