Helen Marlo, PhD
Helen Marlo is Professor of Clinical Psychology, a licensed clinical psychologist, and a certified Jungian Psychoanalyst. She joined Notre Dame de Namur University in 1999, and is Department Chair for the graduate Clinical Psychology Department. She is a Faculty Scholar with the Sr. Dorothy Stang Center for Social Justice and Community Engagement. She has extensive clinical experience, providing psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and consultation to adults and children in her San Mateo private practice for over 20 years. She serves on the Advisory Board for The Burkard School and is Reviews Editor for Jung Journal: Culture and Psyche. She created the complimentary community service, Mentoring Mothers, to support reproductive and perinatal health. She has previously worked at Stanford University School of Medicine, The Palo Alto Veterans Administration Health Care System, and Kaiser Permanente Health Care System. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina after graduating with honors from the University of Missouri. Helen and her husband, Larry, have two daughters and one son. She enjoys art, travel, reading, film, yoga, meditation, and dance.
