Larry Grotte
Larry has 36 years of senior executive and management consulting experience serving Fortune 500 and venture-backed technology companies. He has held CEO/C-level positions on various teams leading IT, strategic planning, M&A, finance and marketing. Most recently, he was the Chief Information Officer for MTC Holdings/Ports America, an international marine terminal operator.
Larry has served on the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards of medical technology companies, enterprise software and business process outsourcing companies. He served as Chairman of Inc® CEO Council of Growing Companies, Chairman of the ASTD® Silicon Valley Total Quality Management Task Force, and as a Group Chairman of The Executive Committee (TEC), Silicon Valley. Larry was appointed by the White House to serve on a U.S. business leaders delegation to Japan. He received an M.B.A. from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
Larry lives in San Carlos with his wife Betsy who serves on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough Auxiliary to AbilityPath together with their son Peter who is a wonderful child with special needs. Since retiring, Larry has been inspired by Peter’s circumstances to actively participate in the special needs community to develop better quality-of-life solutions for those individuals who require life-long support and ‘principled’ compassionate care.
